I very much enjoyed and as has been mentioned already, it's reminiscent of Inscryption.

The board is clear except the attacking animation goes to the center instead of straight which confused me at first thinking it was always attacking the tower/the player and not the card across.

The card play is really neat, but I was missing an overkill feature. On large I could setup the perfect quad-pitchfork and it wouldn't help and the large tower variant seems too rng dependant to my liking. The medium one was a nice challange for a jam though.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it overall. I think the animations definitely need distinction, the card either moves straight across or at the tower; it definitely doesn't help that all cards move at once and that the opponent's turn happens so quickly. I think I spent the last 2 days fixing bugs for the opponent and trying to balance them, it  kept yoyoing between way too easy and way too hard; this was definitely the hardest bit. I think the game play would greatly benefit from a wider variety of cards as well as a larger variety of effects. It would also greatly improve with a smarter opponent with more restrictions.

I am very happy that someone played it with such a critical eye to recognize the shortcuts that I took -- especially while still enjoying the game despite these shortcomings :P. I don't plan on adding more to this game but I am rolling around some ideas in my head for another card game that I am hoping I can take my learnings here to implement.
