A very interesting plot. Fairly easy to use UI & much better than your previous games (especially those with an RPGmaker base). Do you have some guidance on how to increase your skill levels other than just going to the school? The $200 for the tax, as frequent as it is early in the game, is a little tough to do but I will wait to see what happens the second time. Looking forward to the next update.
