The game's nice. it's simple and to the point, but its fun! I will say that i fell out of the map in the top left corner. just a heads up.

the game has simple graphics but honestly they combine a lot and it has very nice colors. i really like the mushroom theme, i coincidentally also used it in my game hahaha. I'm not going to lie, the level design looks a little messy, but being very short, it didn't bother me too much, anyways, it's a very good game!

It looks great and plays nicely.
Though quite a few places are frustrating with the timing (like jumping on mushrooms and timing with the rotating crosses). The spikes would've benefitted from some sort of warning animation or some environmental art that alert you that there's something dangerous.
The visuals are nice. The animations are cute and effective and the environment is really nice.

Beautiful graphics. I especially love the tileset, which fades away into the darkness in a very evocative way. Nice music, too.

Given how often the player will die, the spinning animation that plays after each death is too long. 1 second would have been enough.

Overall, I think the game feels too hard for a jam game. Of course many players relish a tough challenge, but in a game jam, it is best to err on the side of making the game a bit too easy rather than too difficult. (This is advice that I find difficult to implement myself, but I agree with it nonetheless. :) )

Thanks for playing.

This was my first time participating in a game jam like this, so I am glad to have your valuable input.

I have fixed the long respawn time and unreasonable difficulty that you pointed out.

I hope you'll try playing again!

I got stuck in a corner with a bunch of spikes and couldn't get back out again... maybe there's an upgrade that would help me, but I hadn't received one yet.

Perhaps you are referring to the stage where the spikes come out in turn. If you anticipate when the spikes will disappear and make the jump, you can make it through without any upgrades! I would like to correct this problem because I found it to be a seemingly unprogressive area.

The same thing happened to me too. In theory it is a question of timing. However, I tried a couple dozen times and was unable to get out of that spot. If there really is a time window that allows the player to escape, it is too short.
