I'd probably be able to enjoy the game more if it didn't promote rape culture/non-consensual sex and zoophilia. Like wtf ? I know it's fictional but like ? That's a bummer because the game has a lot of different routes for a renpy game.
I cant speak about rape culture/zoophilia as I cant remember everything and I feel lazy to make a new game to check up on things, but if I am right, there is a significant amount of CONSENT in this game already. (if not a solid 99% of consent I would say)
For instance you dont have to tease the enemies: you could choose the smash and smack route and forget about sex. Then... every time I triggered a potential sex scenenario, Hyao has given us options to select what we want... Of course you have to remember some actions may have long-term effects.
I´ll use the example of Rhot: in my game Rhot became a greedy impulsive lizard but only because I gave him too much freedom in previous situations. That is MY fault, and now this is what I get. Still I am dead serious that there are options to say "Stop!" or a simple "Not this time" so thats alright.
If you had a negative experience with any character in the game, feel free to share it here and talk things. Maybe you havent explored his options/routes :)
Ps: if the enemy is teasing you and want to avoid undesired sex, you´ll have to bring lots of restrain potions with you. Thats the only situation I can think of non-consensual sex.
I think the fact that there are those possibillites (and so many of them) alone make everything fucked up LOL. I have pretty much explored all the routes and of course the red route is nastier but i didn't expect it to be that gross. I've played a lot of seggsual visual novals and this one wins it. Some people have a hard time discerning reality it can potentially lead to dangerous stuff ??
Like just type rape in their discord and see how many people are saying "i'd love to rape X" and fantasize about raping like it's totally normal it's so effed up and triggering to me since i've been sexually assaulted. It's totally worth it since you get new route(s) as a reward, right ??
I've also seen people acknowledge the fact that you can rape (in the game) and be ok with it, telling people to not play the game if they're fragile, huh ? They label people complaining about those issues as Karens and say that's it's ok since it's fictional. Oh well i'm not expecting (priviledged) gay men to be compassionate anyway. The fact that Booner has this description ("his behavior seems to indicate he tends to get jailed because of sex related crimes...") in the official wiki makes me sick to my stomach as if it was something exciting and hot ?? Yay yet another character (probably the 87987th) in the game that rapes and fucks people without consent omg i came like 50 times just thinking about it. As another person who has been SA countless times before and actually abused for years - and the person roams free on the streets - I can say that I get your point. I truly do. But the thing is, I'm yet to find a sex focused game that has not even a moment of non consensual stuff.
Just like in the real world, these things happens in games that focuses on sex.
I have to say that this game is actually pretty tame in comparison with others that I've seen before, and all the non consensual part being avoidable is a huge step. It can be avoided, and sometimes you even forget that this option exists while playing and beating up the crap out of enemies. Really. Not to mention that said enemies can also be avoided by scaping method. Literally running away. Personally I like beating them up - what includes leveling up faster, and sometimes using cheat cookies - since that gives me satisfaction. Truly.
Also, I enjoy well-constructed worlds and plots, what this game happens to have. And I'm not saying it to hurt you or anything, but I don't think there's a porn game without even the slightest mention on noncon stuff. The closest you may get it'll be the green route on this game, and perhaps the vanilla route on Degrees of Lewdity (that also has amazing world construction and characters, even if the general plor gets tricky to find).
And about people not being able to discern things... unfortunately it's not like they'll change. The heavy amount of sex games that not only enable this behavior, but also encourages is disturbing. I honestly have no hope on people changing on this aspects, but that's exactly why I like beating enemies like them in games.

My 1st impression of Booner was "Uhh... this guy is a rapist/exhibionist" so I do get what y´all said. But the game its still not over, so I wonder what has Hyao planned for this character. Besides we can choose to ran away from him.
(Still doesnt change the fact that... uh... I bj´ed him countless of times already cause... I just cant help myself xD. Its one of those situations where you can spam mouse button to meet Booner X amount of times, or until next morning arrives.)
But I digress. I guess I play LD cause real life love/sex is way too complex for me. Here we can save/reload. Real life doesnt allow that: Stds, disagreements, rape, alcohol, drugs, violence, promiscuity levels in men, finding that person that you love and the fear of losing it... I guess I dont have the guts that takes to do endure all that... I´ll just leave that adventure to the adventurers... See? all those barriers either physical/mental go "poof" in Lustful Desires.
Therefore... Why dont we use our free will to enjoy LD the best we can <3 ?

That's exactly what I'm doing lol just trying to enjoy the game, and Hyao do some amazing plots and lovable characters - Bernard, Logan, Rhot... they're in my top three, too freaking cute ♡
(There's something that makes me grinn when I play DL that when we're walking around the town two figures pops up and they be like "So you're the one kicking rapists asses, right?" and the player goes all proud like "that's me alright". I love it.)
What is this about the Discord tho?
It's titled "Lustful Desires". I think it was intended to cover the majority of people's fetishes and whatnot, whether it be mild or extreme. And I'm pretty sure the developer didn't intend this to propagate taboo sex stuff. Just trying to appeal to people's pleasures.
So... yeah. I still and would still enjoy this game even the developer decides to put in necrophilia or... whatever over-the-top/wierd kink stuff people enjoy. The suspense of where the story is taking us is more than enough to ignore those not-for-me/distasteful details. But that's for me, in my opinion.
