No, you didn't fully understand what I've said.
While it is true that Patreon gets the game update quicker, there is no update yet of any sorts that you are missing. The only thing that was referred to in the post is progress update, which this post itself is one. Basically, instead of having two progress updates per month where I talk where the game progress is at, you only get one fully public. That is what the "progress update 5" is referred to ^^
