If you install joiplay you can run the Windows version of the game through the joiplay ren'py plugin. Just install the mods like you would for pc, and run the game.

That's great. That doesn't even remotely answer the question, and only suggests to install something that doesn't even work.
You have a point. Joiplay version is officially unusable atm.
