thank you!! yes the info made me really curious what "americanizing" would involve and then i couldn't find it for myself. you'd think google results would turn up google's own resources??

Surprisingly not much. I Americanized it. The actual play is still set in London but doesn't actually talk or show any locations within the city. So it was pretty easy to set it elsewhere. 
This is the same version of the play that ended up on Broadway.
