Very polished game, Lot’s of good idea

My main drawback is the ennemies are very very quick, and that makes the game really hard. But with some tweaking, you have a great game

Well play

I really liked this game. It's very fun (and so hard, i like it) and very polished.

Congratulations for the awesome work

But... I think the game hasn't follow the rules about Metafab. I know u used Metafab data save for the almanac system but this is not a core mechanic.

Rule 6: "The game's core mechanic must rely on at least one MetaFab system, and theoretically would be broken without the MetaFab API (it wouldn't be able to be worked around without reimplementing a different system entirely)."

Thanks a lot for the feedback! We're really glad you liked it!

We thought about the MetaFab integration a lot and decided that we would follow the following part of the rules:

"More specifically, for this jam, some ways you can use MetaFab include...

Player account creation, management, and save state..."

We also added an item that's minted to your wallet once you beat the game, so overall the Almanac is some kind of inventory. If we wanted another saving and "inventory" system, we would have to reimplement a different one entirely.

The genre of our game would be some kind of rougelike, and in rougelike games there often isn't much economy going around, so we decided not to force it and use MetaFab for the system we actually needed. Our current inventory system mostly serves as a proof of concept and could be (and probably will be, after the jam) expanded.

Once again, I get where you're coming from, but I think MetaFab is amazing because of the fact that it can solve variety of problems, and be useful to any type of game there is.

I hope this makes sense! Thanks again :)

This game might be the most polished I've played yet. That chest opening is release level.

Very nice visual and auditory feedback across the board.

Theme utilization is great. I love that you pick up new ammo and it's cycled through your gun.

However.. I do not see any Metafab integration? Please correct me if I'm wrong because this is a great game.

Thank you so much! Really appreciate the feedback and am glad you enjoyed it!

The  Metafab was used to handle player login and saving data in the "Almanac". (Which fits the "Player creation, management and saving" example from the Jam page).

Aside from that, when you beat a boss, an item gets minted to your wallet (which you can also see in the almanac).

You can go to the game page where we put more information about it!

Hope this cleared it up for you. And thank you so much again! :)

Wow this was super well made, a lot of polish and the unique bullets were fun! Game is a bit hard, maybe slow down the projectiles so I have some time to react. Really good job, well done!

Thank you so much for the feedback, we're so glad you enjoyed it! We forgot to mention the fact that you can dash through bullets, which should make the experience a bit less difficult, but I agree, we should slow down the bullets a bit in the future. Thanks again! :)
