Hello,

Wow! I am so surprised. Why? I have more than one computer. However, I mainly use a 32-bit Windows XP computer. The game can be played on this computer without any problem. In fact, the CPU is only a Core 2 Duo CPU.

I like this puzzle game! In addition to the above reason, another reason is that the game is a very nice game. Though I only finished level 1, the first impression is that the game looks quite polished. Sure. The background music is suitable for Christmas. There are 50 levels? I guess that you spent a lot of time on designing all the levels. Good job.

The third reason is that the zip file is about 3MB only.

I read the post about this game in a forum. Some people are PureBasic users there. I am curious and have a question. Might this game be developed in PureBasic as well?

Hi there,

Thank you for the kind feedback! I'm glad that you like it and that it runs on good old Win XP as well. :)

Development of Santaban took a little over a month. I started in mid November '22 and set myself an extra tight deadline (hence the Christmas theme), so that I really finish it. Creating the 50 levels in Tiled took up most of the time and to be honest, that wasn't my favorite part. ;)

The game was indeed coded in PureBasic, version 5.73 LTS to be precise.

Hi,

"Development of Santaban took a little over a month. I started in mid November '22 and set myself an extra tight deadline (hence the Christmas theme)" <--- High efficiency...yes!

"so that I really finish it." <--- Well done!

"Creating the 50 levels in Tiled took up most of the time and to be honest, that wasn't my favorite part. ;)" <--- The levels are fun actually.

"The game was indeed coded in PureBasic, ." <--- I see. Only a small idea. If a tag "purebasic" is used, it may be helpful to people who want to look for PureBasic games. Just like these BASICs: other BASICs

Bye...
