Using the name of the the BASIC dialect as a tag is convenient for other people to find games made in this BASIC dialect. Sticky

Hello! I want to give you a tip(this is not about the jam). On the page of your published game,  if you use the name of the BASIC dialect as a tag, other people are able to find all games made in this BASIC dialect easily. For instance:

https://itch.io/games/tag-freebasic
https://itch.io/games/tag-qb64
https://itch.io/games/tag-blitzmax
https://itch.io/games/tag-blitz3d
https://itch.io/games/tag-rcbasic

tags are fine but i tend to look for the Engine & tool metadata, as mentioned here

dunno why but "whatever works" :)

Hi!

The staff of Itch only accepts popular game development tools. They only put popular game development tools in Engine & tool section. Thus only one BASIC dialect(AppGameKit) is in Engine & tool section. I encourage AppGameKit users to use both tag and Engine & tool metadata for their games released on Itch.

ah, i see. perhaps folks need to submit their language/engine of choice: Suggest a new tool, engine, device or organization - itch.io

Thanks for the information.

Good luck in 2023!
