MHO that's a rip off.
Buy it once, wait a full year, buy a second.
If you support this monthly, after 1 year you've paid full price of 60money and still have to pay for updates.
This guy learned big time from EA  - lol

Do you know Patreon?

(+2)(-1)

Itch.io is not Patreon.

(+1)(-1)

Correct, Itch.io doesn't censor NSFW creators :3.

(1 edit) (+1)(-1)

This isn't about censorship but Patreon is trash either way.

Regardless, you should at least let your customers know that this is a subscription model instead of scamming them.

I'll kindly point you to the description--

"The game is currently in development on Patreon and SubscribeStar, but we're providing this alternative access to our test releases for those who may have issues subscribing.

Please be aware of the following!

  • This purchase will not be updated monthly
  • New monthly releases will appear on our Itch profile as they become available"
(+1)(-1)

Description can be easily looked over which is the reason important info that like should be stated in the purchase area.

Wait, so they don't even get to keep the builds they purchased if a new update comes out?

Since, it seems you're deleting the product page and creating a new one for every build update so, we can't even look at past comments. That seems suspicious to me.

(-1)

Of course they keep them.  They aren't deleted, they're delisted so people more easily find the latest one, and don't assume old versions have different content.

I don't buy that reason at all, since, latest one will be on the top and you can see their month/year to tell anyways, so it is only preventing from checking what people has to say about the builds.

Luckily, there's another site where people are free to discuss and review games so, I am able to know while the animations are great, your history on development has been terrible and scummy.

(-1)

Ah, yes, that's not paranoid at all.  The issue with keeping multiple listings is in the profile is that people will buy multiple versions and then be disappointed when the latest version contains all the content in the previous ones.  You can still view them simply by typing the URL.

(-2)

In fact, am gonna show you the door since you've made an effort to annoy me the past few days.

(+1)(-1)

I really wouldn't bother when you point it out rather than act like an actual dev and take every comment as criticism and learn they just throw a temper tantrum, tbh the game is good but the dev/devs really need to actually learn consumer friendly practises! i already had it out with them and apparently so did others.

Not sure if i want to support and as we all know a good game can be destroyed by shady practises

The purpose of this posting is to provide an alternate site for those unable or unwilling to use Patreon due to many people's issues with their content moderation policies.  Itch provides a good vehicle for NSFW creators and doesn't censor their content.

Nobody has a gun to your head to support monthly, so I don't see how anyone is ripping you off.  I'll take your EA comment as a compliment about our high quality animations though ^_-.

Naah fam, you could just update for the people who already bought your game somewhen down the timeline.
But you decide not to and charge 5€ for the same game with a bit more content.
That's the modern way of selling a game for big companys.
Unfinished game, charge X-Money, release rest as battlepass or DLC.
I've got your game on hand, it's fine to play. But basically "re-releasing" the game every month new is a rip-off.
This has nothing to do with "unable to provide an alternative". It feels more like greed. That's what i ment with the EA thing, just to clarify.

I am sure you've seen the desaster of BF2042 - no high quality animations there.
Whilst indeed, your game looks and feels nice.

Sure there is no gun to my head, but if i want your new content, i WILL have to pay 5€ a month for a rly small upgrade.

MHO is: Make a tierlist:
Version 1 for 5€ but it's the 2 month old revision of the game
Version 2 for 8 or maybe even 10€, but its the 1 month old version of the game
Version 3 for 13 or eeven 15€ and it's always the newest version.
This would bring in a fair amount of money for you and your development and wouldn't feel like: You wanna have level 5? 5€ please.
You wanna have level 6? 5€ please.
