Laggy, very laggy. Please make Windows build next time <3 I don't understand why people like web builds so much. Accessibility - my ass, those things never work properly.
But everything else - very neat. Like graphics and possibility of peaceful resolution.

Developer

Hey there Neo_Kesha,
Thank You very much for the feedback!
Could You please describe where, how, when and what kind of lags/bugs did You encounter? We're currently in the process of  developing "We Dread 2.0" with a lot of new content + bug fixing, so Your guidance could really help us make that one even better.
Looking forward to hear more from You,

Overall game is running at 10 FPS. Thats the issue with most web builds for me. Full screen or embedded didn't matter.

If "We Dread 2.0" will have Windows build this will help a lot.

I think you guys have done an amazing job. :) Good idea for a 2.5D retro shooter. A surge of nostalgia. The warm and sweet ending just made me cry :’)

Developer

Our team thanks You for letting us know how You felt about the game! We've just shared Your comment with each other. It made our day (evening, more like :D )
Grateful to make something that touches others. The theme of the Jam implied something along these lines.

The game style is super cool! A great idea with a peaceful ending! Shooting was a bit boring because you always have to spin around yourself and shoot. But it's still a very good job!

Hey there Nik,
Thanks for the feedback and all the praising words, we value it a lot!
You're right, one of the messages of the game is that choosing violence instead of communication puts one in a perpetual circle of agression, leading nowhere, in which the person will spin as crazy without a moment of settling down properly -- just until the gruesome yet well predictable end finds him/her.
Cheers from the DIVAN-Team!

Great explanation!

Solid idea, impressive art, there is a peacful ending
Really enjoyed it

Developer

Thank You, nnoxnnox!
Fun fact: when the lead game designer from our studio played the game, he's immediately found the peaceful ending - just as we predicted he would. It's very much akin to the "Who would've guessed to race back, not forward?!" in the "Ready Player One" story, we guess :)

The art is 10/10

Sometimes there are problems with controls in browser because you can't open it fullscreen and sometimes the buttons scroll the page instead of controlling the player

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!
We've added the ability to go fullscreen now, it's in the lower right corner of the game screen.
Could You please let us know if it works alright now? Thanks!

nice style of the art!

Developer

Thank You very much! We did our best in the short span that was available.
There's even more content actually waiting to be implemented in the future version of the game! If only we had more time to code it in :) The decision to cut content to streamline the game for the Jam was a hard one, indeed - so seeing the praise to what made it in the game means a lot to us.
