Well, the idea is interesting. However, as for me, the gameplay was a little tedious, as it is literaly hard to lose.

Developer

Not very much to do indeed, appreciate you trying it out tho!

The mood of being trapped somewhere and having to wait for help while trying to survive comes out well.

I also tried to lose but didn't succeed ;-)

Developer

Thank you for playing it and the feedback (should make it harder to fail for sure).

You had an interesting idea that has the potential to be developed further!

I am not sure whether there is a way to lose. Other commenters wrote that light damages you, but I did not notice any damage being dealt.

Otherwise enjoyable music, which was neither too loud nor too quiet. Good job!

An idea is what this game is at this point, still far away from realizing it potential, but taking all the feedback posted here and trying to apply it to this and further projects!

Thanks for participating in the jam! I think you have a interesting concept here but I guess it would be cool if there was a bit more to the gameplay than just dodging the light... but ofc I am aware that the time in game jams is often too short to create more eleborate mechanics. So anyway, good job! :)

Thanks for trying it out, appreciate the feedback as well!

Cool concept, but we agree with the other comments, the way the light damages the player is a bit obscure, and the patterns of the light could change over time.

Anyway, we like the "grainy" aspect of the light and the music ! And also the feeling of being traped in a dark box  x)

The idea is interesting, but the overall experience is quite confusing. Unreal 5 was really demanding, and my computer barely ran the game at like 10-15 fps. It's quite unclear how exactly the light hits the player (or what happens generally, as I spent quite some time to understand that), and I even tried to lose but didn't succeed :p

I'd suggest going for something a little more lightweight and making the core gameplay a bit more clear.

Will need to spend some time optimizing...

What GPU are you using ?

I am so sorry but I am unable to appreciate your game due to too much lag.

I have this error message. Maybe it will help you for future games, or if you have a fix I would appreciate it!

The concept intrigues me nevertheless!

Developer

No worries! Appreciate you giving it a try (Unreal 5 can be a bit demanding, not a lot of optimization to be done to run on your GPU unfortunately).

Truly sad  :'(

Interesting idea and mechanical origin. The background music create a mood. But something not enough.

Developer

Thanks for trying it out! Should have made the walls less thick so the light can properly get in and "see" the player, lots of tweaks could be done for sure...
