A very atmospheric game with beautiful suitable graphics. Even more, I really like the mechanics of manual reloading.

A game with creepy atmosphere, coherent graphics and great sound. You really want to find a place that is more comforting than being alone outside in the dark and cold. Good job!

I think the mechanic to manually reload the weapon by drag-and-dropping the shell is genius. It gives a more realistic experience of handling the gun and also really adds to the atmosphere.

It would be nice to have some sort of hit feedback.

Congratulations on creating such a dense atmosphere. The protagonist was well-designed artistically. With the silent monsters in the shadows, you are always keeping an eye out, though they are sometimes really hard to spot.

I've downloaded the .rar from the rating page and therefore did not encounter the control scheme on the game's itch page until after I had finished the game. But if people are able to figure all necessary controls out during play, I guess this also speaks for you.

In my opinion, the comfort theme is not very present here, although I see the point in returning to safety once the game is finished. But for me it was rather a "find a place to survive" than "finding comfort", but this is highly subjective.

Oh wow! What an intense game! You absolutely nailed it with the atmosphere. Such a good idea that the player has to manually drag the bullets into the shotgun every time. And the way the trees move due to that multi-layer background made me really paranoid about "seeing something" in the woods. Excellent submission!

At first, I didn't get how to play and thought you only have two shots, but then seen the inventory thing in the description and it finally got to me. The game is awesome, it's really atmospheric, and establishes a very solid rhythm, which is slow but not annoyingly so. The reloading feature makes it really deliberate and immersive. Aiming is also really well executed.

The enemies were really hard to see, and from the comments, it seems to be unintentional, but I still enjoyed it,  almost like invisible fears and guilt haunting the hunter. And the old photo in the inventory is really simple but adds so much to the subtle narrative of the game.

Absolutely loved this submission, I'd love to see this developed more!

This is a very nice game, it really hits my sweet spot for athmospheric games with a lot of tension.

The reload mechanic is how it needs to be, makes me wonder if it would work well with a revolver too.

I only have two things to add: the ennemies floating above ground are a bit too hard to see coming, maybe the levels need more small plants, and the audio could be more useful, it would be nice to hear ennemies coming.

I would love to see this expanded on!

Unity has decided that it doesn't want to play the sound of enemies. There should be sound.

aah too bad, we understand the struggle of course ^^

The game is very cool and beatiful, the only problem for me is that is hard to see if you had killed the enimies

Developer(+2)

We have a hotfix but can't change submitted version of project.

I like the way this game looks like, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get through enemies... I wasn't able to shoot with touchpad, am I missing something?

By the way, enemies can be bypassed when they reach the start point... Even though its not practical because of the damage you receive.

Developer(+1)

Specially made it unclear whether the enemy was killed. (If the screen is shaking, it means you shoot). If he is killed, then you can pass.

You can shoot by holding down the right mouse button (for aim), then the left one for the shot.

Submitted(+1)

Oh, then I definitely can't shoot - it is impossible to hold right mouse button and press left one on touchpad :(

Great art! Parallax with the trees might be a bit strong. Enjoyed how you reload! As other's mentioned the enemies are black on black, hard to tell apart from the background / trees. Sound feedback was nice as well, unsure of the goal of the game tho...

Interesting mechanics and very pretty pixel art!

Nice game. Loving the artwork :)

Would be nice if the game got paused while reloading.

The atmosphere is really cool but it's so hard to see enemies. Good job!

We have a hotfix, but can't change build after publication.

Don't have hotfix. Not critical, but too dark at last part of demo.
