Oh actually that's a good idea. I usually play on keyboard while developing, and don't have a dpad, so never noticed the problem.

Good news is.. my real Genesis should be arriving soon, so I can give it a proper test.

If you need anything tested I would be more then happy to help.  I have a Mega SG, Sega Genesis Model 2, and I'm picking up a Mega Drive Model 1 very soon.

Thanks very much! My Everdrive has finally arrived, and I fixed a 9 month old bug in music playback which I didn't know existed (only broken on real hardware). I also added in the controls as you suggested, and you're right, it's MUCH better, thanks! I have a Model 1 as well, but annoyingly it's only PAL.

I'm waiting on some MIDI files as I need to convert the music to FM, but after that I'll be putting up Release Candidate 2.

I'm very happy to hear that you implemented the change in controls!  Having an Everdrive is an amazing tool in development and testing!
