I’m also a bit confused by the monetisation model here, some clarification, or maybe even rethinking, might be in order.

I paid for the game a while back and think supporting it is important but having that paid tier gating access on a game which still feels like early days compared to the scope it wants to encompass and then having paid DLC on top of that product which still feels very incomplete does come across a bit…. awkwardly, I guess.

EDIT: To clarify, I’m aware that the main game’s model is “the paid tiers get earlier access to the coming update, which are later made available for users in lower tiers”

Yea you aren't wrong in that it's a bit awkward, but with the holiday this close it's just a way to take some incentive with the time.

Nothing wrong what that, after all, we'd have to attack costume stores for staying closed until closer to October if we find it wrong.

In another thread Feyada clarified that the DLC is a standalone-side story ish and it makes more sense in that context, for sure. Just that tiny taste of “paid extra for something that’s not even half done yet? like, really?” without it.

Perhaps tagging it as a “side-story” or “extra-chapter” or something along those lines would be better? Dunno. Will be checking it out anyway

eh, maybe it's something they plan on expanding a bit as a side plot while the Main Game is worked on.

One can only hope :)
