Hey there, just checked out your work.
It's well done and a great experience!
I just wanted to share some feed back as a player / game dev myself.

First, I would really recommend that you remove the copyrighted/professionally done music from your game. It sounds great but it could get you into some deep, serious legal troubles should the artists or producers responsible for the music ever catch wind of it. In the end, its the kind of thing that can change lives and destroy projects - it can be just that serious.

Secondly, great job on all of the animated scenes and events. It all looks very nice and comes out well done. I especially love the anime style intro, I can tell a great deal has been done for the game.

My last piece of advice relates towards navigating the game. I find it a bit confusing / difficult with all of the arrows. It might be helpful to add an onscreen prompt that explains where each arrow leads, or perhaps reconsider how one would navigate in the project for the room/ area based stuff.

Other than that, great stuff. If you're still currently developing, I have implemented a cross promotion tool in my project. While I'm not requiring that you cross promote my work in return, it would be my pleasure to cross promote yours.

I currently work on 2 projects (which I won't mention here, as it's not my intent to self promote). My point is, should you be interested in the offer, I'd add you in the cross promotion section of both of these projects.

Below is what that area looks like in-game:

Imagine specifically stating it's not your intent to self-promote games, but still include the titles of said games in the backgrounds of specified screenshots. Rookie mistake. (Jk Jk, I very much enjoy your content, and I wanted to be the first one to make a joke-like comment on your screenshots...) *haha* :<

Ah, you're right, I forgot to blur some aspects. >_<

I just changed the images, check it now!

I didn't mean anything by it, tbh. I just thought it would be somewhat humorous to throw you under the bus metaphorically with a factual statement calling you out on a possibly unintentional mishap... or it might've been intentional, who knows other than yourself? I'd like to think it's good to stay true to yourself, but everyone's greatest enemy is always themselves.

Welp thanks for the great advice on these fronts

> ) Great point on the music , luckily Falcolm actually allows users to freely use their music as long as it's mentioned somewhere so I'm safe on that part. Regardless thnx for reminding about that

> ) Yea welp had to redo everything for 0.2 as I fucked up big time in 0.1 with the visual style

> ) Ah yup the navigation was fucked at the time , I'm actually redoing the navigation system with text based prompts along with pop-ups and other quality of life updates to make things easier along with redoing the quest log and making things simpler

> ) Speaking of cross-promotion , I've actually done that with a few other games in my discord although not in-game yet. I could actually add it into the game since it seems like a smarter option. Thanks for that tid-bit and definitely gonna add your stuff in.

Also I've played your game before , Nothing like Cultivating to the Sky and increasing dat Powa. I read a lot of Martial Peak in my free time

Hi, thanks for the response.

Hmm, that's weird.

I'm not sure where you got the music from, but one of them is a pretty famous rap song.
I also noticed another 80's rock song that is really famous too upon entering the bar.

Unless you have specific licenses for those (which usually costs in the tens of thousands), it could be a serious issue for you.

Here is atleast 1 of the songs in question:

Ah yeah the one I'm using is the NCS version of that song and the other one is the Beverly Hills Cop Song

I understand, you purchased / got permission from someone. But did they have permission to sell / give you the right to use that music? In  other words, probably not.

The defense, "it was their "version" of the song" won't really save you should you go to court, for example. More than likely, they would also be held legally liable as well for profiting off of someone else's work. At best, you'd end up removing the music to avoid trouble anyway, and at worst they could argue that , because you're profiting from the game they are entitled to a percentage of your income.

Patreon / crowd funding is a bit of a gray area, since you're not "technically" selling the work - but I've known developers who have gotten in real legal trouble for less, if I'm honest. Princess Conquest comes to mind, they were immensely successful for years, until one day they were hit with tons of lawsuits. It took nearly a year and lots of money to sort out.

Anyway , ultimately it's your choice - I just thought I'd point it out. I'm a believer in informed decisions. Regardless of which path you choose, I'm sure the game will be great.

Hmm true true , valid points indeed. Luckily though in Falcolm's legal write up it states that using songs in personal works which are published for free are allowed. So luckily I'm safe there

But I may have to change the Beverly Hills Cops Music Track now that you mention it , thanks man , gonna change that for the next version.
