Hello! Here are some things that you might have encountered, and what I'm doing to fix them!

Windows Smart Screen blocks game from running

  • Bypass by clicking 'more info' on the popup screen and selecting 'run anyways'.
  • This is an unfortunate side effect of independent development, Microsoft does not recognize that I am an official publisher (yet)

Jumping is too short on low-end machines

  • This is a very common issue and I am very sorry about it! I am working pretty diligently to make sure there are zero differences between low and high frame rate controls. That said, you likely fall very short of the minimum system requirements, but I still think it should still function at a basic level.
  • The temporary fix right now is to lower your system resolution to boost your frame rate. This will not be necessary on final release.
  • If you don't think this is a satisfying answer, I will totally understand if you need to refund! You can do so by contacting Itch support.

Excessive camera movement

  • Another issue with variable frame rates, unfortunately. I'm revising it to feel more realistic and less 'seasick'. Also, there will be a feature to turn the head bob on and off.

The settings menu is greyed out

  • This is true for everyone, there were too many problems with the options menu at the time of beta release, but I'm working on a comprehensive options menu. This includes graphics, sound, display, and accessibility options like input rebinding and head bob toggle.

Black sky in the first level

  • Sometimes this can be fixed by updating your drivers. Otherwise, you may not have enough memory to store the sky image in RAM. There are not many levels with a visible skybox, so hopefully the rest of your experience will be more immersive!

Pool has sections that are way too bright

  • This is a problem with the camera's exposure adaption setting. This is a simple change and I will address it.

Why can't I slide down the slides?

This is a highly requested feature, so I will satisfy your needs. Stay tuned...

I'm not sure if this is a thing in other areas but certain walls that connect two rooms of Lazy River (most noticeable when you're in the section with the water park elements and the bridge) have small gaps that can be seen through, like the rooms are just barely not perfectly aligned. It's a small issue but just figured I'd mention it, good luck on the full release!

Would it be too difficult to have the option to stay underwater longer or something like that? The immersion you feel in the game while underwater during certain instances is both very frightening and also calming 馃槍. Also, would it be too difficult to add an effect where water actually builds up on the camera or a water animation happens for the player so water interactions are more immersive, less fake, idk 馃. Just small things I think would make the hame super immersive 馃檪

Your joking lol. I had this problem a while ago and could not pass the first fence, however I just tested the resolution thing and it WORKED! The only thing is that I can't play video games during school days, and for me it is SUNDAY NIGHT. I have to go to bed in like 5 minutes, which means the entire week i will be thinking about anemoiapolis and it will take me 5 days until I can actually play it (that is if there are no other bugs). HOPEFULLY I get a graphics card soon though (a better one). Thank you for finding this though, as even just getting to the poolrooms is better than standing in a carpark.

finding it very difficult to sit down and play through for more than 15 minutes. The chronic camera movement and inability to turn off motion blur is really painful.

Sometimes wire puzzles turn black

I can't open the game, it gives me an error.

Hello! I am having a black screen problem.  At the end of the lazy river, I enter the door to the water reservoir and my screen goes completely black (98% black), I see a bit of water at the bottom of the screen, and can hear me walking around or splashing in the water.  But I cannot see anything due to my screen going completely black or continue the game as I enter through this door.  I have tried restarting the game and it's the same result.  Any help on how to fix this so I can enjoy the rest of the game?!  Thank you!

I cannot Play!!!! 

I got past the first part and lazy river and it was really great, but in the poolroom level i accidentally fell in some water between two railings and I was just stuck in the water, i couldn't get out. Idk if this is a bug or im just missing something

I have one problem though. It says it wont run because it is missing UnityPlayer.dll. How do I fix this?

If you move the .exe file away from its original folder, it won't have the game data it needs to start. If you put all of the contents in a single directory it should work!

Started it up and found that I was walking in place and could not stop.

Issues with the full build:

The junction boxes in the pool room have been removed, but you forgot to remove the triggers for the minigame. If you go to where they were and use the prompt, it softlocks you by locking the door permanently.

The windows in the same room with the junction box are... weird, you can see part of a mirrored surface and then a black box showing something on the other side

There are a lot of areas where light leaks around the corners of walls and underneath them.

Vsync does not work at all.

There are some tickets (under the bench in the theatre, and down at the bottom of the slide room that I noticed) that you cannot pick up.

It's hard to find 60 tickets in the main area, the spawn rate could definitely be upped. 

When I went into the pool area and hotwired the device to make the light fall and break the glass, it fell on me and I clipped through the floor and was stuck in the void lol

Same problem. I just exit the game and restart from last checkpoint. But still, no-clipping in Backrooms/Anemoiapolis is hilarious)
