HI,

I am having an issue with the game, it runs but the sound is all choppy and the game runs super slow. I am using an Alienware M14x with Windows7 64, I have 12Gb Ram and I7 3820 running at 2.70Ghz. Also it doesn't want to go fullscreen and operates in a window which is by my guess 800x600 or slightly higher. I have downloaded both 32 and 64 versions and both behave the same, I have also tried running in administrator or xp compatibility. I hope there is an easy fix or something I'm doing wrong as I really want to play it.

yeah it's only set to run in windowed mode currently. make sure there is nothing overlaying the window like popup dialogs and such,

or it'll stutter. i'll look into a fullscreen mode.

Hi Wolf thanks for getting back to me, there is no overlay or pop-up and I have alt tabbed to check it keeps stuttering. I don't know why would it have something to do with CPU compatibility?

well, i looked at the specs of the alienware M14x, and the GT-555M graphics card might not be powerful enough. so i'll probably have to dial back a few things here and there some more to get smooth framerates. for comparison, GTX-860M is what i have on my lenovo.

Hi,

I have the GT-650M with 2GB DDR dedicated, but using 5GB shared. It can handle most games I have including Skyrim and Fallout4. I thought It would have been sufficient for the unreal engine. But maybe not. Anyhow..... If you can change any gfx settings by console or script please let me know.

I can tell you what's likely going on; check to make sure that your nVidia Control Panel has the .exe listed in it, otherwise it's probably trying to use the Intel chip, which is woefully underpowered. Right click on the nVidia Control Panel, then go to "Manage 3D Settings" then click the Program Settings tab. Navigate to the .EXE, select it, and you should be set.

That said, even if you CAN run Skyrim/Fallout 4 on a 650m you likely shouldn't. I had the M17x prior to my current machine, and found that even on Med., Dragon Age Inquisition would make it chug. Some Unity games also made it cry. As they get more "shiny" the 650m will be unable to play.
