Finding Games to Rate

In other jams I've participated in (LD, specifically), there is a system for feedback points so people who review more can get more reviews.  Do the games in the submissions page get sorted like that? I know I won't have time to play all 140+ games, and I'd love to give reviews to the folks that are putting the effort in to play games.

So far, I've been quite impressed with what everyone has come up with!

I think the submission page may be sorted in random order, but there's also a list which sorts submissions in order of requiring ratings: https://itch.io/jam/gbjam-9/unrated

I've been playing down this list, and I've been pleasantly surprised by what I found!

Of course, it's worth noting that most people will play and rate your game if you leave a comment, which is a karma system in itself :~)

I know this is an about-a-year-old thread, but it may still interest both of you (and anyone passing by) to know that yes, there is a Karma system on itch.io (which was first implemented there in 2019).

All you have to do is look at the ordering filters on the left, click ‘More options’, and choose ‘Most Karma’.

The fact that you did not notice it confirms my thoughts that this ordering is not put forward enough (it should really be the default one!!), and that game jam owners should also promote it (and promote reviewing) in their game jam main pages (… when they are aware of it, of course, which is not your case, Mr Polyducks XD).

(I am using the answering feature in hope of having both of you notified, but I am unsure if this will notify the originator of the thread… :o)
