So, did another playthrough and I liked it. Worked fluently without any problems. Nice game! Just a few things I noticed, which are minor:

  • I'd suggest to use Z for jumping and X for 'action'
  • The rockets feel weird from a story-perspective. Why would there be single-use one-way fueled rockets in a cave system? Bit of a lame remark, I know, but just a thought.
  • Another lame remark, at the end of the game you suddenly lost all your powers, made me think it was a dream or something. Would be more 'consistent' if the powers were still there.

Yeah I didn’t even really think of the continuity with the abilities and the end scene in the house. I do think I’m gonna work on this game a little more post jam so I’ll add that because all I have to do is tick some variables on. And yea the story for this game came up later and the jam and didn’t really account for the rockets I suppose I could add some kind of lore like they were invented by the ancestors or something. And as far as controller inputs I probably will add some shoulder and or trigger inputs for dash but I do think a is already pretty well established as jump in gaming and will probably keep that as it will be what’s most intuitive for the majority of players.
