aaaa I'm so sorry to hear that! >.< This has never happened before so I'm not quite sure what the problem could be! Does the game give you any error codes after it crashes? If it does, then it most likely has to do with the game itself. Feel free to share a screenshot of it and I'll be more than happy to help find the solution! But if there are no error codes, then it might really be your computer after all ;n;
Some suggestions I can offer are: are you running the game on windows? If so, have you checked to see if your firewall might be interfering with anything? Have you tried skipping through the text and choosing different options? Did you use any special characters for your name? they might be interfering with the code (which it shouldn't, but it might be the case). Are you able to run low-end games on your computer? I don't think PC specs would be the issue since I created 14DWY on a shitty laptop as well, but it doesn't hurt to make sure ^^
