Please read the itch page to learn the difference between the free and paid versions of the DLC! :3
The free version only includes the original 18+ scenes that were removed from the base game. It does not give you the option to penetrate Ren or unlock additional 18+ scenes.
And this isn't to guilt-trip you, but it might be a while before the 18+ DLC comes to Steam (right now, only the base game has been approved for Steam, and it's still in the wishlist phase until I add more content) ;v;
So if you prefer, I can try to help troubleshoot why you can't install the DLC! Just reply with a screenshot of what the DLC looks like inside your "game" folder, and we can go from there. You can also email me if you'd like more privacy.
If not, then I suggest getting in touch with Itch Support to try and get a refund! Thank you for your support nonetheless!!
That isn't exactly an ending — it's just a scene you can get during Day 5 :3
To obtain it, just pick all of the "mean" options during Days 1-5. If you'd like to guarantee getting that scene, pick all the options that encourage and cater to Ren's dark behaviour.

Because I don't live in the US, it's harder for me to set up and run a Patreon — especially regarding taxes as a non-US resident and providing additional information, complying with Patreon's (and other countries) guidelines for adult content, and how time-consuming it all is for one person to manage on their own — so I can't offer that as an alternative payment method, unfortunately ;n; Patreon also isn't exactly a gaming storefront (like Itch or Steam), so it's harder to process refunds and revoke download keys, update the game files, and share downloads/links without them getting leaked. And I'm aware that this is already happening, but I prefer to minimise the risk rather than add to it.
With that being said, I think you'll (unfortunately) have to wait until the DLC is available on Steam to purchase it ^^; It's likely going to take some time due to how publishing games on Steam works, but hopefully it shouldn't be too long!

Unfortunately, Ren is the only love interest for the game — but you'll be able to get a romantic ending/epilogue with some of the other characters as well! But again, since they're not the main love interest, they won't be as detailed as Ren's, nor will they be considered traditional "routes".
Are you positive you've downloaded the latest version of both 14DWY and the DLC? It's very possible that one of them might still be an older version. I'd also suggest deleting both versions, redownloading (and reinstalling) everything once more, then seeing if that works. Make sure you don't have any older files still lingering on your Mac!!
