Really interesting puzzle twist on chess, big fan of the concept and I would love to see it polished and expanded more.

I however did find it quite frustrating that I was unable to move pieces once I had placed them and would constantly drop them if my cursor moved too fast. and I wish there were confirm/reset buttons on the screen that could be interacted with using the mouse. These issues aside though I really think you have something neat on your hands.

I think you're right about all-mouse controls; it doesn't make sense for it to use buttons. In reality, we used buttons because we implemented the controls initially as simply as possible to get a prototype and had literally no time after that; that goes for ironing out bugs and adding undo/reset sprites and code.
