That's not what I was saying. And I don't think people have no standards for animation quality, quite the opposite.
In MurMur specifically, I remember a few early scenes that were really offputting due to poorly or not animated hands looking like a corpse claw. Redoing those early scenes is a very good idea.
My comment was about one specific pitfall that comes with switching between the same speaking/listening renders, which often looks unnatural. Render quality and count definitely matters.
