Saves don't transfer between patreon versions, you just download the new patreon version from my patreon. there are preset saves to show you what's new.
ouu so the 0.44 build is only for patreon users not for the regulars i get you and when will the 0.44 be made public+and how would i be able to update then?
New Public builds come in November and start a new 3 build patch where you can bring the old save to a new one. There will be a preset save that starts where the current build ends. You can't bring old saves to the new builds because too much has changed between the builds.
