Hey this is a nice game! For your first ambitious project is super good!
If you want some feedback:
- The initial enemies are too hard. I died on the first encounter... and then again on the second. Maybe while the player is still learning the controls would be good to have the enemies diein one or two hits.
- There was no place explaining that I needed to equip the items I got. I only discovered it when I got the first potion and saw that my health didn't change.
- The jump is a bit clunky, is it possible to jump over the initial spikes? I always felt on them.
- The slide shouldn't have a cooldown that long
- The spells spend a lot of mana, but they don't compensate for the regular attack in terms of damage, so they aren't very useful.
- I didn't understand how to dodge, if it is the same key as jump. Maybe switch the jump key to "W", as this key doesn't seem to be used anyway.
I hope you keep developing this game, it surely has potential. Maybe it could become the next Apple Knight? 😄
