People have been so brainwashed into believing they need this anti virus or that anti virus. Windows 10 and now 11, has really made anti viruses pretty much redundant, thanks to the os av been superior to anything out there., which makes sense given it was created for the os by the people who built it in the first place.
The amount of hardware protection in modern pc's also negate the need for an external av. They generally cause more problems than they fix. An never ending commitment to be scammed by the av companies because they know you don't need them, so they use their propaganda to try and sell people something they don't even need, and people get sucked in.
People clearly don't have a clue how good w10/11 av protection is. along with its firewall...unlike the crap they created in w7 when you did need an external av because windows defender was nothing but a bad joke. I guess m$ learned their lesson from those days, and they pretty much have new developers from w10.
There is also some kind of bizarre myth that people get infected visiting porn sites. That isn't true, all the top sites are constantly monitoring their security and are probably the cleanest sites people might ever visit, because if they where not, no one would visit them and they wouldn't be in business.
