Correct! And there is an answer, although it's not a particularly interesting one. I sort of started my other series, "Under the Mountain of Fud" to explore more of the sort of backstory, although I haven't actually gotten to any of that yet.

This game is more dedicated to exploring the world itself than anything really plot based. Largely owing to the fact that the game is largely derived from user submitted content, so it's hard to weave a specific story into it. But even in my initial conception, the game was more meant to be a pretty random exploration based game.

well can you give me the answer? or is it something we have to find out once the full mountain of fud releases?

Well, if you actually want to know, the answer is this all just happens every so often. Like I said, not very interesting! Which is why I'm more interested in exploring the world itself than figuring out why the world is the way it is. And more about how people react and what they decide to do and so on.

so it's just a natural phenomena? like the tides or the rising and falling of the sun?

Yep, basically

i see, that's fair enough.
