Given the scores in the leaderboard, it looks like some people manage to survive really long ! There must be some really effective builds somewhere, probably with chain explosions and healing...
There is one tech I noticed : throwing your dice on other dice can make them roll again, it can trigger a lot of effects at once, I'm sure it can make you survive longer.
The fact that you get surrounded quickly is kind of wanted, but I agree it's kind of lazy level design. I want to add more variety to enemy behaviours to increase the difficulty without having to spawn too many enemies.
