I can confirm the NOD missions are working. For some reason, the movies are so quiet they are almost silent. Not sure why. 

The scrolling speed was much better before, it is still very slow even with scroll speed set at full. Perhaps x3 times faster than normal would be better than x2. 

Just wondering about key shortcuts. I tried CTRL+1 to set a group, then pressed 1 to select the group, but nothing happened.

Not much to report back this week.

-The game still randomly freezes sometimes at startup, before the intro screen comes up. Most of the time it will skip the title and go to the intro anim. You know about this already and I guess there isn't much can be done about this. Not really a big issue.

-The cut scenes are still at the top of the screen, with a black border. If you say you tried the PIP method, is that the one where it chopped off the bottom of the image?  The audio isn't working for the most part, and it just clicks.

- This is a long standing bug which I forgot to mention. Sometimes if you save the game while a harvester is in the refinery, and then quit and reload that save without quitting the game first, sometimes the harvester gets stuck in the refinery and doesn't come out. This can be fixed by quitting the emulator, and starting it again, and then most of the time the harvester leaves the refinery. But then, sometimes if you save the game here, and come back to it, the harvester doesn't harvest anymore.  Here is a save file of that happening:

- The map area leaves the green border on the screen when moving around, which eventually covers the map in green. Clicking on the map area fixes this and refreshes the display. This could be an issue with the emulator?, as the same thing happens with Heroes of Might and Magic 2.

I just beat the whole game.  Thanks a lot for this conversion !  :)

There is alternative, you can use ffplay with :

"FFPlay -quiet -gui 0 -fs -autoexit"

or FroggerNG:

"FroggerNG.68k FS AUTOSTART autoexit freqdiv=1"

You need to set Channel to 2 i Unit 0 in AHI for audio in players.

Yeah noticed, doesn't happen on v4. I'll see if I can fix this next week.

Yes, I already tried Frogger etc.  The audio for cut scenes worked fine on earlier builds, and if I play the cut scenes with Riva from the command line, it works no problem, so don't know what happened there. The AHI switch is a bit quiet anyway so best to use Paula.

Yes the game is now officially completable. To to celebrate.

Works fine here with Rive or Frogger. I've switched to Frogger since it scales video better then Riva.

I tried V0.99a today. I notice with the Verbose Riva switch, the game forces the cut scenes to be played back with AHI only. If I do this from the command line, with AHI it works with audio. But in the game there is no sound. There must be some kind of conflict with the game audio, or perhaps my AHI installation or something. ?  I am running AHI V4.18 from Aminet?

The game now loads up every time without a black screen on startup. :)

This issue has been solved before.

I think you haven't told me about Ion Cannon instant recharge bug?

It works!  I set AHI drivers to UAE 14bit Stereo and now I have sound for the intro and cut scenes. I tried selecting Paula Fast 8-bit with 2 channels of sound but it didn't do anything. This must only be an issue for emulator users. Good to know all this time it was my settings and not the game. :) :)

With PIP mode, it still cuts off the lower section of the screen, so I've gone back to normal Hicolour mode.

I noticed the Ion Canon was firing often, but it happened once every 5mins or so, and the power of the canon was not enough to take down any buildings, so I just repaired them and ignored the canon. I've never played this game before, so I don't know if this was meant to happen, but the harvester getting stuck in the refineries on saving was something which was noticeable.

Hi again. Just wondering if the data for the loading of the cut scenes could be done with an external data file instead. For example the first line would be the application (with path) e.g. c:Riva. Then a second line with the switches. e.g. PIP etc. In this way, you could let the user specify the program and also their own preferences, and this takes the whole thing about the cut scenes out of your hands, it's up to the user to decide. 

Also forgot to mention, your intro animation only comes up if the game crashes for some reason, and maybe this is best to be loaded first? It goes on for a few seconds too long, as the game is loaded almost instantly, but the idea of having an introduction screen for your work is a good one. You could always make a separate icon for running the game straight to the main menu, and this might solve the black screen bug which causes the black screen on loading?
