Spent some time with this game over the last couple of days. It's pretty engaging.  Some of the touches are fun and give the game a unique feel, like the slimes being able to cover the input field and the screen-shake when you get hit, or the visual effects when you are poisoned.  Fun ideas.

I do have a few quality of life / accessibility suggestions that might improve things which I suspect might be easy changes:

*  Increase the contrast, at least in the console. It's a little hard to read, at least for me. Just making the background darker would help a lot. (You could put this behind a toggle if you want to preserve the current color scheme.)

* Similarly, it would be really nice to have some font size controls, at least in the console area.  Increasing the font size in tooltips would be nice, too.  I realize some of the screen layout is tied to the font size in some elements, but we spend so much time in the console that it feels like it would warrant an easier font size to read.

•  Add "get" as an alias of "take". I find myself typing that due to so many IF games using it.

•  If you're fighting "gus the slime", allow "punch slime" as well as "punch gus". This might make for an ambiguity when there are multiple slimes, but I think it would be fair to just choose the first one if the player doesn't specify in such cases.

•  Maybe automatically "look" when you go to a new area?

Also, I've noticed something that feels like a bug.  Sometimes, I will type something and it won't "take", displayed in all gray and not recognizing the verb.  It seems to happen when I use delete to correct something I've typed, but not reliably.

But really, none of these get in the way of enjoying the game.  Some interesting ideas for games like this. Thanks for making it (and maintaining it on the server!). It's a fun little world.

thanks for playing! i really like the suggestions, i even think the ambiguity of punch slime when there are multiple slimes could translate into punching a random slime, like, if you don't specify that's your own fault, but would be useful if you can tank the enemies anyways or if there's only one enemy to begin with. should've thought of this earlier haha.
