Very original idea, don't think I've played anything like this before. And it definitely fits the theme. I played for a while (not long enough to get to 43 points), but couldn't really come up with much of a strategy. Do you have a good one?

Well done on submitting to your first gamejam! Since you are asking for feedback, my main thoughts are to introduce the game mechanics slowly (I had to read the instructions 2-3 times before I knew what was going on). This can be quite hard to implement, but I think you'll get more players who otherwise would not want to read the instructions. :)

thank you for your feedback! i definitely ran out of time for some aspects! and agreed, a tutorial intro could have really been useful!

as you might have seen in the settings screen, i originally meant to add difficulty levels which would've allowed the player to start with a slower-paced timer, to get the hang of things.

as you never know if the opponent will play a token, and what that token's value would be, there's definitely some randomness involved. when you see/calculate that the combined total is nearing 43, it might help if you can manage to have lower value tokens in your hand, and try to send one in when you calculate that the opponent's tokens allow yours to reach 43.
