Interesting. We've certainly not had any reports of that issue. If it's happening across the board after a software update, you're probably on the money that something is wrong within the OS. Believe me, I've been there and done that with Samsung several times before, one of several reasons I won't ever buy another.

One thing to try if you haven't already is a factory reset. Software updates can sometimes have all kinds of issues, particularly between Android versions, and a factory reset should generally fix them up. Also if the tablet has an unlockable bootloader, there might be third party roms available for it - I often found the third party offerings more up to date and reliable than what Samsung was releasing.

Might try the bootloader option since I factory reset a month ago and didn't notice much difference. Sorry for taking too long to reply. I distracted myself playing videogames. Thanks for suggesting the bootloaders! I'll try them.
