Description
The protagonist travels to an old valley, where ancient ruins of an old civilization long gone are located at. After arriving at the ruins they explore them and find a passageway into an old temple that leads underground. Once they find what they were searching for, it is already too late and the entrance to the temple closes.

The two worlds in this track are represented by different melodic parts. One is supposed to be adventurous the other one mysterious and dangerous. Over the course of the piece, the music evolves in its intensity and ends with the protagonist finding a mysterious object shortly before being trapped in the dark.
I composed this soundtrack with Ableton Live 9. It's unfortunately only one track but if I would embed it in a game I would split the parts up to better fit the environment.

Theme:

Two Worlds
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
The theme was "Two Worlds". In order to fit that theme, I tried to create a track that captures both the joy of adventuring and the mystery or danger of the unknown.
I also thought about the picture being part of the journey to the ruins. The red flash representing the underlying danger that this path has.

The part when the drums enter (both times) makes me really excited to start exploring. I think that this track really captures the essence of the picture theme with the shifts in energy throughout from more subdued to more high energy. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed it ^^

I enjoyed the melodic ideas of this entry, you seem to have a good ear for them. I do think I would have mixed this track a bit differently, though. To me, the volume of the drums and bass sort of overshadows everything else that's going on. I would have liked the lead parts to be louder in comparison, because again, those had some really cool ideas.

Thank you very much for the great feedback! Mastering is really not my strong side, so thanks for your help :)

I'm not sure it's mine, either, but I'm glad if I could help :)

Nice track! The effects in the outro were a nice touch. They were very ominous and definitely added a lot of intrigue.

Thank you ^^

great job, I really like the atmosphere you created. The deep sound at the end gave a really nice contrast to the beginning.

Thank you, I am happy to hear that!

Some nice melodic components there. You could develop them into two themes for two worlds to create some more contrast between the two environments.

Developer

You're right, could have made more sense to split that up a little. Thank you for your feedback.

I like it, but I can't really tell how it's supposed to fit the theme...it seems like one cohesive composition. Is the part where the synth comes in supposed to be the "mystery or danger of the unknown?" It feels still too similar to the previous part.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I could have made that distinction clearer... basically, my idea was that when the synth comes in the protagonist "crosses"  into the other world by entering the ruins. The reverse part is where the protagonist is deep in the ruins, in the other world. Thank you for your feedback :)
