Best entry I've played so far. I think the big circles of damage (they look like fire to me, but in a space game they could be anything) hit a big space than it looks like they should. Other than that I think the first stage could use something simple that can't be destroyed so that the 2nd stage fire turrets won't be unexpected. The shrapnel from the boss shots is also a bit unfair the first time, but I don't think that can be helped. The bosses were fun to fight anyway.

While typing this, I just realized from the animated screenshots that I completely forgot about the bombs. That probably would've helped.
