You need to press the screen with two fingers at once to open the menu on android. I added a message at the start of the game for the android version to explain that, since a lot of people had troubles figuring that out.
Thanks! Regarding the pc version, I tried moving it from the external drive to the actual computer in a non-read-only folder, and still got the error screen not long after starting over. (I play all these games in a normal window.) So I'll move on and play it on phone now.
