Thank you for advice, i'll give some thought to it.
About the water puzzle - it was a little hard, but still interesting, i don't think you should refrain from it in the future. But saving right before the puzzle would be nice:) Well, your games are mostly about exploring and investigating, so there should be some logical puzzles. IMHO, of course:)

Well thank you! I'm glad you still enjoyed the challenge. That gives me more confidence to experiment in the future!^^ And I wish you luck in finding an engine, but don't stress about it too much. RM horrors have been made across nearly all RM engines, so whichever one you choose will have some great games it's been made with to look up to!

I don't really stress about it, i'll just take it one step at a time:)
I already have an idea what i can use as a background for surreal scenes - these silly doodles that i drew in "Silk" long ago

Wow, those would be so trippy as backgrounds! It would stand out in such a weird (but good!) way from normal RM art and make it unsettling! Especially the orange one, I could totally see that being used as a new cult insignia or something XD

I'm glad you like it, that means i definetely should use it! The orange one does look a little like a pentacle:) That wasn't on purpose though, i always try to make those kind of things randomly, without thinking, they're better that way^^

Hey, sorry for the late reply! Been really busy lately XD But yeah, the randomness works well with that kind of art! Using those as backgrounds would be really cool in a Yume Nikki-sort of way!

That's alright, you are probably busy with the new game:)
Yes i guess that original art is not a problem after all. What bothers me most, is programming. I found out that you have to know javascript. The sad thing is, that i tried to learn basics of HTML almost 10 years ago, but dropped it:(( Who knew that i would regret it now...

Don't get too discouraged! I don't know any coding either, and I was able to make my games using plugins made by other developers! Given, knowing coding would definitely help you do more with the games, but you don't need to already know it to get started. I hope that helps!

Yes, that really helps, thank you! It turns out that there are all kinds of plugins to customize every detail in the game, so convenient.

I'm glad it helped! Just be careful to make a backup of your game before messing with plugins, because sometimes it will crash certain parts (or all!) of your game! In my experience it's rare but I have had a couple bad times with it, so better safe than sorry XD
