I personally try to keep jam games as simple as possible, but I do admire when someone do something crazy like this RTS. It's actually working pretty nice. I was bit confused when Martians destroyed major part of my base, but I wasn't able to place new buldings on places after destroyed buldings. It's quite big thing so there's might be few other issue here and there, but it's still pretty well done.

Is it possible that the martians also destroyed some lighting tower and the original place where the building was didn't receive enough light?
Yes it is true that there are quite a few issues in the jam build. If you want to try a version with fewer bugs you can find a link to it in the comments
