In short: focus on creating the game and Valve & Steam will find players for Your game, I said also Valve because Valve employees select the games they think can sell and manually promote them. But Yes I use keywords in the descriptions or even the title of the game (Play with Me: Escape room). Also, Steam = 120 million monthly active users, algorithms, promotional tools for Your game (in Steamworks) etc.
