I enjoyed this quite a bit. I got stuck towards what I think is the end when the dolls come out and chase you after you poison the piranha with alcohol (a thing I have never done in any other video game I've ever played and that I was grateful this game gave me a chance to do), I fled through the left door and they chased me into the backyard which I'd just gotten the key for, but then they cornered me there and nothing was interactive except for the...outhouse? chicken coop? the little shed, which just made a door noise when I pressed enter on it but didn't actually let me escape inside. I couldn't go back either--got a 'wrong way, dummy' type message when I tried--and I went back and tried to flee the doll in the foyer through the other door and that didn't work either.

I mean, as you said "Caution: This game is rushed and may be buggy as I made this on the last three days and I did not have any playtesters LOL xd" (welcome to the no playtesters club btw LMAO) so it's not exactly like I'm surprised although I am curious how the story was going to end.

The gameplay itself (not the tone or mood, but the simple puzzles) reminds me of my old 2k3 game Backstage which my own game for this jam was a long-delayed sequel to.

I feel like the potential was here for this to actually be at least a bit spooky/scary with the elements used here (the spooky house and the dolls, the footsteps and the ambience, the weird objects scattered around, and especially the mirrors) the light comedic tone the game went for instead didn't speak to me as much as it might have.

The game has basically one joke which is look at what a baka Rana is (which carries a fair amount of ludonarrative dissonance as you the player playing as Rana need to be at least somewhat clever to solve, but as you solve them you are bombarded with these little flashbacks about what a moron your character is, it's weird).

My least favorite part was the sounds, since a lot of the default RTP sounds are used and I find them kind of over-familiar (I would, I've been using RM since 2k3 was actually NEW) and/or harsh or jarring generally. The menu sounds but also the sounds used for the doors, especially the sound used for 'locked doors' which sounds nothing like a locked door. The main music track did a good job of establishing the mood/tone but was a bit repetitive and ear-wormy.

Overall though, like I said I really enjoyed this!
