Kai quickly grabbed Ren and swam with him, swimming further away from the shore before surfacing so Ren could breathe

He looked down at him, eyes wide with concern-he looked so, so scared for him-

He took his head out the water, breathing heavily- he just put a thumbs up, holding onto Kai..

"Nh..feel..sick.."

He held onto him tighter-

He held him a bit tighter, holding him up more out of the water even though it hurt his arms

"It's going to be ok-I-I'll put you back on the shore a-and it'll be ok-um-s-shit-"

He was trying to figure out a way to keep Ren from getting his ass beat by his mom-

He started to quickly swim back with him, holding him above water even though his arms shook

...you should be crow. you really should be..i've tried many times to get away with things- it just went worse. they have PERFECT memory. PERFECT.

"N-No- please...Kai..don't.."

He hugged him tighter.

"I-I'm fine..you don't have to keep my head above water..I just need to hold onto you.."

He shook his head

"No-no it's fine-I-I don't mind-"

He swam the rest of the way to shore holding Ren up, even though his arms were shaking badly and tensing

He was so tired and sick at the point he couldn't even talk correctly...Monica was standing there, arms crossed- the guards were gone.

He gently set Ren down on the shore. He sat next to him, wrapping an arm around his waist to hold him up and letting him slump into Kai. He wrapped his tail around him, letting Ren slump into his chest and holding him tightly, arms wrapped around him. He gently kissed his head, smiling comfortingly down at him even though inwardly he was TERRIFIED-

"Hey...it's ok-it's gonna be ok, don't worry....I won't let her hurt you. Just sleep ok? For me?"

KAI YOU HAVE ALL THE REASON TO BE TERRIFIED. SHES SCARY- SHES INSANE-

"No.....I won't..fa..ll..asleep.."

His eye lids slowly started fluttering, then shutting..yeah he went night night-

M : "......"

Monica and Kai were a good distance apart from each other.
