Monica and Kai were a good distance apart from each other.

Kai was just holding Ren gently but firmly to his chest, running his fingers through his hair comfortingly. His tail was wrapped around him as a blanket, giving him as much warmth as he possibly could. He was looking down at him so, so lovingly...he was tempted to sing to him-which btw Ren hadn't admitted this out loud to Kai but like-he fuckin' loved Kai's singing y'all already know he did-and it was actually really calming-

He held Ren a bit tighter, protective of him.

"Yuppp! When they grew up together, they would always talk to each other, go to the beach together..but then..when Ren turned 18..and started coming here..he..he stopped talking to Katsuki..and started talking to you..and you know- I don't like that."
