Hi there, I enjoyed playing this demo last year, despite taking time to learn the patterns of some of the bosses (& dying each time), and since you've added in more story into the game, we'll see how much more we like the demo :p

Also, I'm glad that you're still working on this game, so keep it up! :)

Thank you! Great to hear you enjoyed it. :)

And yes, I am fortunately still working on it! I've taken a lot of time off the project lately, but it's still chugging along. :P
Unsure if the game itself will be finished within 2018, but we'll see!

You're welcome :)

Oh, I see. I myself am getting back to fixing some parts of my games, and my nephew had fun with them despite how difficult they were; he had given me some feedback on how to improve them, seeing as it took me 2-3 tries to finish one of them :p

By the way, I'm now in the Water Well, and despite having more than enough coins to pay Jeremy/AC-K2 (I currently have $115 in total, and he only needs $50), he is refusing to accept my money, thinking that I don't have enough :(

In my experience, it is very easy to make games too hard. Beta testers are often needed to truly determine the difficulty, and balancing is a very fragile thing. So that makes a lot of sense to me, haha.

And I see. I do remember some bugs with AC-K2, but I don't remember if the current demo is bugged or if it was fixed. If you have the newest demo and this happens every time though, then it is probably a bugged build, unfortunately. I recently got back to doing some things for this game, so if there is no way around the issue I can look into providing a patch. :)

I guess it was probably my mistake of rushing to upload an updated version to Itch.io that I didn't stop to test it out, given that I had only recently solved a problem I've had for some time :p

I'll try playing the game from where I last stopped (I noticed the fight with Avatar XO1 has been made easier;)), and if it still has the same problem, I'll start all over and get to that point again to verify that the demo is indeed bugged at AC-K2's section :)

Hi, I started from the beginning, and even though I had enough money to pay AC-K2 after defeating the Mega Slime (which took a while since I was switching weapons frantically, and every once in a while I ended up pressing W instead of Q :p), he kept repeating the same message over and over :(

By the way, what engine are you using to make this game? Is it GameMaker Studio 2 or Unity?

Ah, so it is definitely still a bug then? I got it reported by someone else as well, so it appears to be a real glitch in the current build. Will probably have to look into doing a patch.

And I'm using Unity. :P

Great! It seems to be a bug in the last version you had put up on GameJolt as well, but I'll check again with a fresh game :)

Ah, I see :D

Yeah, it likely is just the same build, so if it's bugged it makes sense.

Alright then; I did go ahead and test the GameJolt build, and yes, it has the same bug, even though I first beat the Mega Slime before talking with AC-K2 (because why not? ;) )

I managed to earn some coins ever so often when heading to the Memory Zone as the Avatar Duo, though I'm not sure if that was intended or not, seeing that the first area you access in the game as the Avatar Duo doesn't grant you any increase in coins (in the Pause Menu) despite collecting coins all the same.

Other than that, will you be adding in the option to change the control rebinds/settings in the near future? Most times I want to switch weapons instead of healing up, unless I'm facing off against the Bloodsquid boss like in the first demo :p

Also,  you might want to list out the controls on the game page and within the game as it's explained that you can lock your firing direction (for both Starter and the Avatar Duo) with the Shift key :p

A red box appears for a split second at the bottom left of the screen before you see the words 'Factory Core' in front of you, just so you know :o

Anyhow, I found a few typo errors, and if you'd like, I can send you the screenshots through e-mail :)

Ah, alright. Thanks for confirming it's in both builds, means I will absolutely have to update sometime. :P

And I see. I'll try to address all the things you mentioned:
- The coin bug in memory zone is definitely just a UI bug. It does count the money, but most likely it simply doesn't update the money count in real-time. Most likely Avatar Duo related, if Starter doesn't have this bug. Will have to test if this has been fixed in the game so far, though.
- I like having control settings in games... But the truth is that I have no way of doing it and it is complicated. So only answer I can give is that I am currently incapable of implementing this in particular and can't guarantee it will be a feature, but if this changes then I will absolutely include it.
- I'm aware that controls aren't listed anywhere in the game. This is fortunately not an impossible thing to do though, so you can likely expect this at least by release, it's just low priority currently. Although I must correct you in the sense that the controls are listed on the Gamejolt page. However it is 100% true that they aren't listed here on itch.io (at the time of writing this), so I will make sure to fix that for anyone who discover the game through here.
- Never heard of a red box, so that one is definitely a new thing. Can't confirm if that is gone in newer builds or not.
- And yeah, feel free. Doesn't matter to me whether you are right or wrong about the typos; if they are potentially wrong then it's worth looking at. Totally possible though, with how easy it can be to miss typos, so feel free to send over the screenshots.
