Nice little DBD type game! My favorite part is chasing down the enemies that have guns, trying to dodge them. I also appreciate the variety of gameplay styles of the killers!
The sin-city style color palette was also a GREAT choice, perfect for the theme limitations and a genre where blood is the most important thing.
I'm not sure if the weapons did anything different, but I definitely recommend adding something to the character select page that tells you their special ability!
The controls were also a bit awkward, WASD + XC/Space is hard to control because they're both on the left side of the keyboard and your hands get in the way of each other, I don't know how easy it is to add alternative inputs in Unity but I think the option to use the arrow keys would have been nice.
The endgame can also get gruellingly slow, the first playthrough I spent a good 10 or 15 minutes trying to find the last survivor before I gave up. There's a lot of ways that could be mitigated, like a map or compass of some kind, even if it's on cooldown. (A map in general would come in handy since I got pretty lost a lot of the time, I didn't even realize there was a southwest area until my third playthrough and I almost got stuck there also)
Overall pretty fun though, and a surprising amount of features! Nice work! Interested to see how it turns out after the jam!

Thank you for the feedback, I'll take it into account.

I do plan to make the map smaller, and add a compass/tracking mechanic after the gamejam. For now, a hint is that the enemies leave behind red footprints, like breadcrumb trails. A lot of ppl find the end-game part tedious, so I'll for-sure fix it up.

(This is the footprint sprite)

With the controls, I'll adjust them too. Thank you for the feedback!

Oh! I wish I had picked up on those. I think I had assumed that they were blood effects from me stabbing the crowd, or part of the background (since there is some red in the ground tileset). It might help to make them look a bit more obviously footprint shaped, or possibly removing the  other red from the background? Either way I tried it again and knowing they're there definitely does help!

My plan is to include a tutorial level that explains it, and yes, i'll make them more footprint shaped.
