Some ideas I have after playing

This is kinda my wishlist.

Here is my concept for an update:

1. New! Offices. (No office management please keep it simple) You can now buy offices and hire people in those offices to work on your products

When you want to hire you to choose 2 things. Qualifications, and budget. The qualifications you can choose are.  Low Budget (Best with low end), price to performance (Good with medium), and Enterprise (Good with high). There may be others like ARM (For arm chips), etc. Then you pick your budget (Up to 1M). Then you get shown the best matches. It shows skill level with each qualification (Higher skill in all the higher the budget). The qualification you choose will show up first (for example: if you pick enterprise you will get people that are good with enterprise, and maybe some other things). You will also get years of experience, and their rating (1 to 5 stars) shows how quickly they work. Higher stars means faster.

When you have a lot of people of similar talent on a team they can create low/medium/high end products in their category quicker.

2. New! Teams. You create a team by combing offices together so they can work together on a project. example: Low-End CPU team. You can always assign only one office to a job, but a team can combine offices to do things faster

3. New! Create multiple products at once, each team can work on one at a time.

4. New! R&D labs. Has some extra money lying around? Spend some money on an R&D lab, they can generate much more research points than an office can, so there great for researching. They can be very expensive (Up to 5M) but they are worth it!

5. New! Pick what the CPU is aimed at, low end, medium end, and high end.

Other ideas:

Stocks. Put your company on the stock market. Sell shares for extra profit, and get your value higher and higher.

Skill tree. Change research so it's not just picking the best one, but instead you gotta decide what you want to prioritize.

Manufacturing. When your CPU is done you can pay another company to manufacture, or when you start to become rich you can buy your own manufacturing facility. This will allow you to cut down costs

Profit margin. On the create CPU page in between the cost to make and the selling price put a little profit margin, that tells you your profit margin.

Other products:

CPU:

New! Boost clock

New! Integrated graphics

Research technologies (Overclocking, etc)

New! Multithreaded

GPU:

Research speed, memory, size (ex: 10nm), and technology (RTX, VR, etc)

RAM:

Research speed, size, and type (ex DDR4)

HDD:

Research speed, and size

PSU:

Research power, and quality

MOBO:

Research ports, and technologies

LAPTOPS:

Put your own (much cheaper) or others parts together (more expensive but a lot easier) to make your own laptop. Research size, trackpad, features (Backlit, touch bar, touchscreen) screen specs, battery, and speakers.

Laptop tycoon is a good game that may help give you inspiration

PREBUILTS:

Make your own prebuilts.

Put your own (much cheaper) or others parts together (more expensive but a lot easier) to make your own prebuilt pc.

Research fans, and case.

Also, I would love it if you extended the campaign another 10 or 15 years or so.

Hopes this helps!

Hi, those are some good ideas!

Most of them are already described here: Planned features - Suggestions & Ideas - itch.io

As for stocks - I might add them as a small distraction for the player eventually, but that's something very low on my list of priorities right now.
I'm considering adding target sectors for products too. For example, server-grade hardware would require high build and stability, while enthusiasts would value performance more.

hey if the devs are seeing this nice, I am really bad at this I have a small suggestion, maybe add a cheat or god  mode because I a m really bad at the game and compleatly lose in 1980 in easy mode.

You can enable infinite money by clicking the cog in the bottom-left when creating a company and checking the respective checkbox

oh really thanks I didn't know that.

just go all out on package, speed, and build. I usually make the price twice or a bit less than the production cost

Bro come on you NEED to put more time into this games, its a masterpiece

It sounds like your going for a Software Inc. type of game.

yeah, i have played software inc but i don't like the fact it turns into an office sim so fast.
