In what way does your game fit the theme?
Our game is about playing chaotic free jazz in a strange jazz club.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, except for the audio clips made by my teammate Adam Saunders and some royalty-free audio clips.

very cool idea, more polish or a more gradual explanation might make this a bit easier to play. well done!

love this, the forth wall break, game play and the mechanics of your trumpet being broken and of course the sounds and music, although the "thanks for playing" didn't appear when curtains close until I start clicking and the main menu button also didn't work

awesome game :D

Thank you very much for the feedback! The end scene was made 30 minutes before the jam's end, and I'm not the proudest of it lol. You are the first one to mention the fourth wall break, by the way! I always try to put one in my games. I'm glad that you had a fun time!

This is a really cool game. Great concept as well. The main problem was that it was a bit confusing what the objective was, and what the numbers on the right side meant, I just always played something random and I got high marks, but following those numbers I got low marks. So I think it is supposed to be we play something different and chaotic, but we can just play anything random and we would be playing something different because there are a lot of permutations of 7 different notes. So it was just kinda confusing. But this game is very innovative and the audio is amazing, good job!

Would also appreciate it if you checked out our game, we still need a few more ratings, thanks!

You've got the hang of it yea. Basically, the idea is that the number on the top left is the most important one. It tells you how many notes can be in one combination. Let's say this number is 2, then when you play 1234 we will look at this as the following combination of 12, 23, 34, simply said we split it into pairs.  When you play 5'34'1 next you'll lose points because you have already played pair 34 previously. This number will get larger as the number of maximum notes increases as it would be more difficult for the audience to understand that you have repeated something when you play something very long.  Thank you for the feedback! I hope you had lots of fun playing!

Will check out your game, of course, no problem!

A game about JAZZ and yet you somehow managed to fit in the chaos theme pretty well. Astounding work!

The last one, i didn't look at my keyboard lol. Your idea of avoiding repetition was really good. Nice game.

I made the last level just fun so the player can jazz it all out at the end. Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
