First off I love the SFX and music, this the game with the best audio in this jam so far I think.

I liked the individual components of the game -- the boomerang, the gold balanced on your head -- but I wasn't sure if they worked together. I got frustrated bc it felt like I was just spilling everywhere as soon as I moved. I could never collect more than one or two golds before dropping them.

I agree with a previous poster that the boomerang felt great, I could tell you put a lot of work into making it move just right. A game focused on the boomerang alone would have a ton of promise.

I also want to say this was a well polished game for the time limit and I think you did a great job on the "juice" -- the effects, animations etc were all superb for a couple hours of work. Good job!

I absolutely love the way the boomerang works, it's very engaging. But I think having to limiting my movements to keep the gold from falling actually decreases the quality of the gameplay. The music was really nice though! But I think that if you made a game around that boomerang mechanic you could really have something great, good job!

Thanks for the feedback! I agree with you about limiting movements in order to not drop the gold. I wanted to get a balance (pun intended) between the two bits of gameplay, however it would probably be a stronger concept if I focused on one of the elements. The great soundtrack was made by Danioc.

I love especially two things :

  • many different sound effects
  • camera movements (panning, zooming)

It's very polished and very pleasant !

Thanks a lot! I used Leshy's SFMaker for most of the sounds . Camera movement is something I really enjoy coding in all my games.

probably just a bad gamer but I could never get more than 2 gold in my hat at a time. beside that I found the game pretty good! the art style was simple but fun and reminded me of those characters you see on signs. the music was also pretty good! over all pretty good game

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback! The characters are the way they are as I realised I couldn't draw arms or legs lol. I found that in order to not drop the gold don't move too fast and lure the zombies towards you before firing the boomerang at close range.

Oh i see, thanks! could you also rate my game?

I really like the style! It's pretty challenging but not too crazy hard. My best is 18 gold at once!

Also, I played it using Chrome and had no issues :)

Developer

Thanks a lot, 18 is great! I'm glad it worked fine for you, I'm starting to think Chrome just dislikes me haha.

Interesting idea! I had 14 gold at most with me.

I played in browser, no problems occurred.

Developer

Thanks a lot, 14 is impressive!

It's good to know that it's working in the browser, for me it works perfectly with Firefox but for some reason Chrome doesn't like it.

I use Firefox so that's why.
