Had to stop at the merfolk fight. Really poorly balanced.

The merfolk king has an instant kill, your party has no revive skill (at least at that point of the game), and the merfolk king can full heal himself despite being a hp tank?

Also, if a party member died or was injured in the kraken fight for whatever reason, they'd stay dead, making the fight even harder.

The merfolk also starts the battle with attacking, so they can potentially wipe your party or kill a party member before you have a chance to act.

Even with using souls to kill the other enemies, the king is an annoying fight and if you use the souls to kill the king, one of the enemies has a confusion ability.

The game autosaves after the loss, so you end up having to restart the entire game if you didn't save. Would make more sense to have some sort of reminder to save in that scenario.

The kraken fight at least looked visually nice, but kind of confusing with the mouse since most of the kraken can't be clicked.

The story just felt a bit convoluted, forced, and thrown in.

During the cutscene, if the elf is fainted, he still does his song attack?

The battle log goes by really fast considering how important some of the effects are.

Thanks for the review. You are right about the merfolk, it is because of the conflict between one of the plugins and "Abort Battle" command. It was intended that if player can reduce 10% of Merking's HP then the battle is aborted, and the game returns to the story mode. Unfortunately we just knew this after the last minute of the submission.

The Kraken uses Dragonbones which, I don't know why, gives problem related to mouse clicking like you said.
The story presented here is only 15% of the full story, so hopefully it will make more sense once the full game is released.

The battle log is also problematic as most of the time it's in normal speed, but sometimes it goes too fast. I assume it's related to the setting.

Thanks for all the precious inputs, this is our first RPG maker game jam we join, and we're planning to release this as a full game. Your inputs are worthy to improve our game.
