I loooove this game so much and I love it most for one reason, Adrian. I felt so related to him in so many ways, mainly his drastic decisions to pursue hapiness and his sensibility, that is, until I played through day 11 (I was on Tai's rout and didn't tried Diego's)...
It felt sooo off, he made a full 180, his mental downgraded in a way that made painful to play the rest. When day 15 ended, I was furious because it felt like he was a completely different character. At that point, Adrian wasn't acting like he was in love, so tunnel visioned, so immature, almost childish.
I felt bretayed(????) by the game because it presented Adrian as beeing much MUCH more resolved and considerate from the very start.
Besides that, the game is great, the characters are so fleshed out, I feel like they matter, they act a lot on the story and their visuals are recognisable. The music (and the abscence of) is so good and well timed. And that nightmare sequence... only perfect.
I cant wait to see more and feel more even though I decided to not play Diego's route because i'm that invested on Tai's (it already made me furious and made me cry a lot).
Oh I can't wait. I want to fall even more in love for this game but there's just this one thing that quite don't hit the spot (hehe), and congrats for keeping up with the comments ( :
I found this game by accident and I have to say, this is one of the best VN games that I played. The characters are great and the story especially is so good. I have been in a few relationships before and I have been through some tough break up before and this game honestly relate to me a lot. This game has a lot of great messages about relationships and how to handle with it in general and the emotions just felt so real. The story moved me cause a lot of the things that happened in the game did happen to me and I actually learned something from playing this game.
I learned quite a bit from this game and for that I thank you. I can't wait to see more what this game has to offer! great job on the writing so far <3
Is there ANY chance we could get a soundtrack somewhere? When I heard the music for the CD of the Black Claws, I fell in love with it. I would absolutely love to have it on Spotify or youtube or a standalone download or anywhere else. So much of the music in this game is incredible and perfect for playing in the background while focusing on other projects, or just listening to it for the sake of enjoying some good music.

All of our current soundtrack is royalty free, so it's available to download direct from the creators. A music gallery is on our list of features to get done and we'll have links to each and every track we use within, but finding the time to do it is half the battle!

What seems to be the issue? Itch services our downloads but I've had a couple of people have the download stall or cancel part way. Usually it works after a couple of retries though.

I kinda imagined Logan and Adrian becoming friends, but i was pleasently surprised anyway that they ended up banging AND managed to be friends (with benefits too and that's one thing we ALL wanted to see lol) in those unorthodox circumstances. This part of the update felt good, sooooo good that I (like many other surely) just fell in love with Logan....
Now for Tai i don't know what to think really.... I guess i still wanna know exactly what's up with him (and spencer) and his VERY secretive life he cannot share before i make up my mind. The 'official' break up part, well.... i felt bad for Adrian, but maybe not as bad as i should... ? Idk really, i might be thinking it's not really the end (witch it isn't right ?) but something about this moment felt odd to me... it doesn't make sence but maybe i'll be clued why in the next update ?
Anyway, stunning work as always, loved every bits of this update and looking very foward to the next one where we'll FINALLY get some god damn deserved and needed answers XD

I played through the new update last night, and I have to say, despite the fact I'm incredibly sad over the situation with Tai, I absolutely LOVED the scene with Logan.
I loved how shy he was at first, how he slowly opened up and got more comfortable, and even how he acted when he and MC had their fun... The whole thing just put a huge smile on my face.
From the moment I learned Tai was a date-able character, I was really excited, because I really liked what I saw of him in Diego's route. I just hope that the fun MC had with Logan doesn't end up biting him in the butt with Tai like what happens if Diego finds out MC had sex with Kyrex.
As a side note, regarding the situation between Tai and Spencer, I have a strong feeling I know what's going on, and part of me honestly hopes I'm wrong, but a part of me is almost positive I'm not. Though even if I'm not, I have a feeling things will sort themselves out.
That second break up was heartbreaking. Could you please consider making a flashback or showing Tai's side of the ordeal? It would be interesting to see what happens from his perspective.
There won't so much be a flashback per se, the conversation between Tai and Spencer on Day 13 provides a lot of context, and Day 16 will fill in the gaps when that releases :)
Yep, I just replied to your post. What you had was the current executable file combined with game data at LEAST 6 months old. How are you getting the game? Direct download or using the Itch App?
We've switched to differential updating via Itch which might explain what's gone wrong here. Unfortunately, it's to do with the Itch App and how it handles the updating of files. If you updated from a really old version, strange things might have happened.
This should work better for all updates since 0.26 as we now support the Itch App more officially, but if anybody else has this problem, uninstall the game completely and then redownload it fresh. All going well, this will only need to happen once.
You shouldn't have needed to delete your saves, they're stored in "%APPDATA%/RenPy/Sileo - Tales of a New Dawn" alongside the actual game directory itself and old save files should still be compatible with the 0.27a update.
If you're on Windows, try switching off your antivirus, downloading and extracting the game fresh and trying to run it with the AV off. If that works, add an exclusion and switch it back on. Some AV's (Like AVG and Avast) do not play nicely with games made in Ren'Py 7.4. We personally don't recommend AVG or Avast based on the company's history with collecting and selling user data without consent, so we recommend using products like BitDefender or Kaspersky, both of which work a-ok with Ren'Py! Failing that, Windows Defender does an okay job and also works well with Ren'Py.
I don't think checking later is going to help much. If you can provide me with some information like what platform you're playing on, any errors you receive, if you used the itch app to download the game etc, I can offer some advice. But I can't fix problems if I don't know anything about them.

The 0.27 version had some problems loading save games, but 0.27a should resolve that. Either way, save files shouldn't stop the game from starting unless something went really pear shaped somewhere.

Im starting to love logan more with this update. The update is pretty WILD😉, Makes me want to have a route with Logan. We got to see another side of him and it really caught me off guard, id be willing to see a relationship with him when all the main routes are finished, though i want to see Dom and Axel's route first to experience maybe a 3 man relationship lol😆. But overall awesome update and story😁
We'll have a physical button for this in the 0.30 update, however it's a keyboard issue - the context is being passed to the keyboard to display an enter key and the keyboards we've tested (IE: SwiftKey) all work as they should. We'd suggest trying a different keyboard in the meanwhile, otherwise there'll be a button for this soon, just once we finish work on 0.30.
I was really not expecting anything that happened in this update, but that’s a surprise I will happily accept! I was actually left with a smile on my face when the Logan stuff happened…some of the things said actually reminds me of myself….also I was legitimately not expecting that at the end….really great update!🐊
I wanna play the new update so bad now but it keeps cancelling while downloading, i have enough space and good internet and it just cancels itself. I even hid it it so that no one touches my phone but it keeps cancelling halfway through the download😭
After a few hours of waiting it downloaded and gotta say the update gave me mixed feelings, dont wanna spoil some stuff but all im gonna say is that this update is WILD.😉
I've that problem before. When the download starts, remain in the download page. It worked for me before, but it can change from one case to another. Or maybe it is on your browser perhaps? I use UC Browser after all...
is tai's route done? or is it still being worked on? I love the route I am in so many emotions, not gonna say what they are to not spoil, but you have made a great VN. I can't wait to see more :D.

Protagonists behavior is intentional, it will make more sense later on. There's more to come for Tai's route, so hang in there!

Just wanted to say, i have absolutely no idea what i did but after re-installing the game and starting it 5 or 6 times, it finally worked
